The duties and responsibilities of the project assistant will be to carry out the administrative, logistical and financial tasks related to the material implementation of the activities of the School of Political Studies Bosnia and Herzegovina. He/she will be placed under the supervision of the Director of the School.

Relevant professional experience is required. Fluency in English is necessary.

Job Description Project Assistant

The project assistant will provide on a part-time basis a variety of secretarial support to the Director of the School of Political Studies Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the organisation of 3 to 5 seminars per year, including drafting administrative and financial correspondence.

Key Activities

- drafts and formats standard correspondence, memos, files and presentations in accordance with instructions; organises files;

- carries out the practical organisation of meetings;

- makes travel and accommodation arrangements,

- assists in the reimbursement of travel expenses in accordance with relevant procedures;

- prepares the financial report in compliance with the relevant rules and procedures.

Qualifications / Skills

§ Professional and technical competencies:

· Education of a standard equivalent to a full course of secondary education, preferably beyond;

· proven experience of secretarial and administrative support duties;

· good computer skills of standard tools in office applications (word processing, spreadsheet, data bases, presentation software, outlook, internet/intranet publications);

· Experience in bookkeeping an advantage

§ Communication and linguistic skills: has very good knowledge of English in oral and written communication;

§ Personal attitudes: initiative and responsibility, sense of continuous improvement, concern for quality, efficiency and accuracy, adaptability, self-management

§ Personal values: integrity, respect for diversity.
