The label "Council of Europe Cultural Event" recognises exceptional and innovative cultural and artistic projects which address key challenges of today’s European societies and convey strong messages related to the Council of Europe’s mission and values.
The following projects have been awarded the Council of Europe "Cultural Event" label in 2009:
The International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation for their project "The Green Voices"
Brings together artists from diverse cultures and disciplines for artistic seminars throughout 2009. The artists can explore together different artistic languages as possible means of communication between man and his natural environment. These common reflections focus on the best way of artistically expressing a connection with nature and how therefore to become an ambassador of the Green spirit. Green Voices is part of a three-year programme: Sharing All Voices, bringing together artists each year as ambassadors of European cultures.
First Contemporary Art Biennial of Sarajevo, "Ark Underground" (from November 2009 to November 2010)
The Biennale will be organised in small Bosnian town, in a former military shelter of President Tito. Contemporary art works will be realised in situ by artists from the region and abroad. These artworks will provoke the public into questioning and rediscovering their cultural identity and inspiring insight into their recent history. The Biennale will be organised jointly with institutions and experts from both entities helping civil society to accept their differences. (http://www.bijenale.ba/)
Tbilisi International Theatre Festival (27 September – 19 October 2009)
A new generation of theatre professionals has succeeded in bringing together a high level of theatre performances, from classical to modern drama, about tolerance, human rights and diversity. The organising team has initiated active collaboration with theatre companies in its neighbouring countries, Armenia and Azerbaijan, and expanded this collaboration to many others in Europe and Asia. The festival is multilingual and proposes seminars and training for young audiences. align="left" style="margin-right: 5px; margin-top:0">
Fondacija Yehudi Menuhin za projekat “Green Voices” (Zeleni glasovi)
Okupljanje umjetnika iz raznih kultura i disciplina na umjetničkim seminarima tijekom 2009 godine. Umjetnici mogu zajedno da istražuju različite umjetničke jezike kao moguća sredstva komunikacije između čovjeka I njegovog prirodnog okružja. Ova zajednička razmišljanja fokusiraju se ma kako na najbolji umjetnički način izraziti povezanosti sa prirodom i kako postati ambasador Zelenog duha. Zeleni glasovi su dio trogodišnjeg programa: razmjenjivanje Svih glasova, okupljanja umjetnika svake godine kao ambasadora evropskih kultura.
Prvo Bijenale savremene umjetnosti Sarajevo “Ark Undergraound” (od novembra 2009 do novembra 2010)
Bijenale će biti organizairano u malom bosanskom gradu u bivšem vojnom skloništu predsjednika Tita. Djela umjetnika iz regije i inostranstva će se stvarati in situ. Ova umjetnička djela će nagnati publiku na ispitivanje i ponovo otkrivanje svog kulturnog identiteta i na inspirisatian uvid u nedavnu prošlost. Bijenale će zajednički organizirati institucije i eksperti iz oba entiteta kako bi se pomoglo civilnom društvu da prihvati njihove razlike.

Međunarodni pozorišni festival u Tbilisiju (27 septembar-19 oktobar 2009) Nova generacija pozorišnih profesionalaca je uspjela da okupi pozorišne predstave visokog kvaliteta od klasičnih do modernih dramskih predstava o toleranciji, ljudskim pravima I raznolikosti. Organizacioni tim je inicirao aktivnu suradnju sa pozorišnim kompanijama iz susjednih zemalja Armenije i Azerbajdžana i proširio je na mnoge druge zemlje iz Evrope i Azije. Festival je višejezični, te organizira seminare i obuku za mladu publiku. |
